The ideals of Los Angeles Critical Mass; of equality, and positive experiences for all are some of our cornerstones. We ride with each other in friendship, a few occasionally falling but always supportive of each other, yet focused on completing each month’s ride together. We dedicate this month’s ride of America's Largest Community Bicycle Ride, Los Angeles Critical Mass Friday, April 26, 2013 to our fellow citizens, family, and friends of Boston and to the athletes of the Boston Marathon. To all we proudly say WE ARE BOSTON. Ride with us, bring your family, your loved ones, and bring your friends. Invite those who run to join us riding. Together show your support, and join thousands of other cyclists embracing the best of Los Angeles and the good of humanity. The tragedy in Boston transcends sports. This month we pay tribute to the athletes of the Boston Marathon by riding 26.2 miles, finishing what they tragically could not.
If you have not yet checked your Bicycle Air Tire Pressure, do! Make certain the tires are firm to the touch to avoid flats. Your
bicycle will be happy and so will you. We ride on the last Friday night of each month, meeting at 6:30pm and rolling at 7:29pm. Prepare to have fun and there is still time for you to invite others to join with the thousands of our fellow cyclists in America's Largest Community Bicycle Ride.
All our fellow cyclists are always encouraged to wear a helmet, possess a front and rear light, have at least one brake, and carry a spare tube, levers, a patch kit, pump and a wrench if necessary. Also wise to always be conscious of your speed, and of the other riders riding near you, so you have enough room for you to safely stop.
Los Angeles Critical Mass rides are a monument to a time, a feeling, an idea and for a purpose. This month's ride highlights the need to bring increased attention to the epidemic of hit and run collisions and advocating enhanced penalties for leaving the scene. We dedicate this month's ride to fellow cyclist, Damian Kevitt, and all who are the victims of hit and run collisions.
Welcome to Los Angeles Critical Mass.
